Though those are our often part of our goals for rehabilitation, this post is actually about TPMT moving to a new location starting on July 19, 2021!
TPMT also expanding by adding two incredible and proficient healthcare providers, who are as passionate as I am about getting people out of pain and back to activities they enjoy. Brought together by our enthusiasm for PRI, we look forward to serving our new community of Westminster, Colorado We will continue to treat people from all regions of Colorado, and beyond, in our conveniently located new office: 9101 Harlan St, Suite 225 Westminster CO 80031 Thank you for your patience while I was closed to in-person treatment sessions. I am happy to say that I will re-open on a limited basis next week.
With an 'at higher risk' family member, and some more vulnerable clients, I ask you please to stay transparent with me, and I will do the same with you. If you are not feeling well, or suspect you may have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, or really just need to cancel for any reason, I am happy to reschedule you... anytime, even last minute. Thank you for your help on this. I hope we can all stay well and get back to doing things that we love. As we all know, 2020 has been quite a year... though I am temporarily closed again due to Covid-19, I have to say this has been an amazing year for me.
Having extra time at home allowed me the opportunity to attend remotely two additional PRI courses (Cranial and FLM), as well as participate in the 9 week PRI Webinar: Breathing in Covid Times. This has helped me professionally, as I connected and expanded on a lot of prior course information to help my clients even more. I am so grateful to the Postural Restoration Institute for continuing to produce these high level courses that advance my understanding of Rehabilitation and Human Sciences. This year I have also had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Derya Anderson DPT, CYT of Essential Physical Therapy, a fellow Physical Therapist and PRI enthusiast. Though I am sad to say she is moving out of town at the end of the year, I know we will continue to collaborate via ZOOM ... now that I have mastered that technology! I wish her continued success in Durango! As 2020 ends, my hope is that everyone stays well, is able to give kindness to one another, and remembers to breathe deeply looking for the bright side as we head into 2021. I thought I would write a lot and often about Postural Restoration with all the fascinating things I was discovering about the body. Instead, I decided to dedicate 2013 to the pursuit of becoming certified in the Postural Restoration technique. After many hours of studying, sorting, analyzing and interpreting lots of information obtained over many courses, as well as the occasional tears and a few grey hairs later... I am happy to say that in Dec 2013, I became certified (PRC)!
My PRI journey started a long time ago. Someday I may share the details on this blog. But what I really would like to do with the time that I have today, is say my most heart felt and sincerest "Thank You" to Ron Hruska, James Anderson, Lori Thompson, Mike Cantrell and everyone at PRI and PRI Vision. These brilliant and caring people are my 'rock stars'. They may not be celebrities outside of a small yet growing part of the medical community, but they should be for all that they are doing to educate and integrate our healthcare system. "Thank you" hardly seems adequate to the founder of a treatment approach so innovative and forward thinking. For now it will have to do. Thank you all for opening my eyes to a whole new way of looking at the body...and helping me treat my patients so effectively. This is way over due... My journey starting Tri-Planar Movement Therapies, PLLC has experience a few detours and hurdles since I first began it as a Physical Therapy consultant 2 years ago. It has now evolved into a small private practice on its own, finding a complimentary place to practice inside of East West Wellness in Louisville, CO.
Stop by or give a call and see for yourself, what we are all about Just getting started... but stay tuned for lots of information to help you get started on your way to feeling and performing better in life and sport.
